Parker Chapel is a small church with a big heart.
Parker Chapel began her mission in the community August 29, 1887 with Reverend J. H. Leslie. A young, growing church, proud of her heritage with a vision for the future. Today she is still visioning into a new century.
We gather to worship. In our worship experience we have an opportunity to share our love, faith and express our commitment to Christ and to each other. In worship we realize the presence of Christ. His Spirit is alive among us and His power manifested in the realization that His kingdom is present. It is in the act of worship that God comes to us and we come to Him. Our Communion Table calls us into "Remembrance" of Christ's life, death and Resurrection. Here we are invited to confess our sins, sorrows, burdens, pains and sickness. We remember that Christ offers to us forgiveness, healing, and restoration form our sins. It is here we are reconciled to God who loves us and has expressed that love through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Our vision reaches out with the words of Christ, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
